This track is about me learning to look inward for my self worth. Self confidence is an endless struggle for me.
This song is not just for me though, it is an anthem for all of us who fight to value ourselves for ourselves, and strive to define success and approval on our own terms.
“I don't give a fuck what you think of me, I'm okay with me, I validate myself!”
This song is a mantra, hearing myself say this chorus helps me fight my own crippling self doubt and low self esteem. Of course, I deeply care what others think of me and yet I so strongly wish to be free from this social anxiety and just be my weird self.
Of course this song is also for everyone who wants to be liberated from the prison of approval.
I love you all.
Based on the complete lack of response it will probably get, though, just like all the other songs I have released, I could say, I get it, my music sucks!! Or I could say, I don’t give a fuck what others think of me, I am going to make my music anyway!

VALIDATION SONG - from "Truth and Fun" by Eight Two
Why should it bother me what critics say of me?
Why should it get to me that they just look through me?
Why’s it admissible for tin gods to judge me?
Why should it get to me that I’m invisible?
Why does it matter what rich people say?
Why should I worry?
I don’t need no one’s approval
To be whatever the fuck I wanna be
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I’m okay with me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I approve of me, I validate myself
Why should it bother me what labels think of me?
Why should it get to me if I’m invisible?
Why does it matter what celebrities say?
Why should I worry?
I don’t need no one’s approval
To be whatever the fuck I wanna be
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I’m okay with me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I approve of me, I validate myself
My freedom is unattainable
While I’m governed by what other people think of me
My liberty is laughable
If get my sense of worth from other people
Why does it matter what the fortunate say?
Why should I worry?
I don’t need no one’s approval
To be whatever the fuck I wanna be
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I’m okay with me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I approve of me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I’m okay with me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I approve of me, I validate myself
I validate
I validate
I don’t give a fuck
I validate myself
I validate myself
I validate
I validate myself
I validate
I don’t give a fuck what you think of me
I’m okay with me, I validate myself
I don’t give a fuck
