This is a pirate rock sea chantey. It is about the search for the ultimate treasure that leads us on the greatest human adventure, through greed, vanity, power, but finally, the treasure is the "Blue Pearl" floating in space that brings us all together.

The Blue Pearl is about how the planet Earth is our greatest treasure. The fulfillment we seek for ourselves, and that of our small shining blue planet, are one and the same, because we are one being.

For 'The Blue Pearl' I wrote a simple bluesy guitar solo which I played through my Fargen Duo Tone amp - to get this warm bluesy guitar sound I amped the guitar so loud that it rattled the light fixtures on the ceiling, which added to the thick dirty tone.

This track is a pirate song with just one repeating section, I think you have to be a pirate, in the sense of being a rebel and an outsider to find the treasure of self realization, this song is about how this search parallels the journey of insight that both our individual selves, and our small shining blue planet, are one being - interdependent and interconnected.
